Consists of a copy of Envy and fortune: a tale to Mr. Garrick, April 1752 (by Edward Moore), followed by a note from Mancuniunsis to Mrs. Garrick, dated April 24, 1779. In the note, the correspondent indicates that he feels the poem was "unjustly severe upon the ladies in general," even though he agrees with the "propriety and, justness of the compliments paid to Miss Violette." Address leaf: "Mrs. Garrick, Widow of the late David Garrick Esq. in London."
